Conceptualization and design for a sub-brand identity and packaging design for a premium ayurvedic oil.
Sesa was launching Strong Roots Ayurvedic Hair Oil variant which is an ayurvedic mixture of 26 natural herbs and 6 essential oils and was looking for a new packaging design with a premium look and feel with an intent to widen the audience base. The design had to appeal to the middle class and upper-middle-class consumers.
The traditions of Indian Ayurveda and goodness of natural ingredients were to be highlighted through graphics. The colour palette with light green and brown gives the brand elevated feel amongst the category. Green symbolises natural aspects whereas brown connects to the earthy nature. Key propositions of the ‘Banyan tree extracts’ were highlighted through a blown-up yet tonal treatment over the label. The imagery of the ingredients were composed over a jute mat to give an ayurvedic look and feel.
